On Friday, October 17th from 1:30 – 3pm, guest speaker Crystal Kwan, will lecture on “NUTRITION and PARKINSON’S DISEASE”. Ms. Kwan studied nutrition science at the University of California, Berkley and has a Master’s Degree in public health from UCLA. Specializing in outpatient nutrition counseling, her clients include patients from Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and students attending the University of Southern California. Provided by Arcadia Senior Services and the Parkinson’s Support Group, this educational health presentation is for all individuals over the age of 50. This program will provide information on how Parkinson’s Disease can be influenced by diet and how it can play a key part in getting the right nutrients, including vitamins to help support the body’s ability to produce dopamine which helps regulate movement and emotional responses.
